I retired from the Navy on August 31, 1994 as a Chief  Electrician (supervisor) with close to 24 years of service. I was in the Persian Gulf during the latter part of Desert Shield and the beginning of Desert Storm onboard a repair ship standing by for making repairs to other ships as needed within our capacity. We also made makeshift recreational facilities for the frontline ships while they were inport, included were two refrigerated truckbeds one for soft drinks and the other for beer. For some reason the beer line was always ten times longer than  the soda line. One can only imagine why. We made temporary emergent repairs onboard  U.S.S.  Princeton CG-59, a guided missile cruiser as she was indirectly hit by a mine making a crack in the backside of the hull,  no one was hurt and she headed home after the repairs were made. We also reloaded tomahawk missles for the frontline ships.

My wife and I have been married for 34 years. We have one daughter named Maribeth, and a son-in-law named Dennis. They are both 37 with our grandchildren Kyler who is 3 (a boy) and Devri who is 5 (a girl).  Our house we are liviving in is in San Diego, CA with our daughter and her family temporarily living with us as she goes to school for nursing. They are presently renting out thier house in Chila Vista just south of San Diego.

I work for Amsec an owned subsidary of Northrop Grumman and a subcontractor for the Navy. I work in the shipyards and on the Naval Base here in San Diego onboard Naval vessels. I enjoy the work immensely as an electrician. I hope this short brief summary finds everyone in good spirits and doing well.  Take care.
