After living 37 years at the busiest intersection in Milwaukie, we moved to 5 acres outside Washougal. Our view is a lovely valley and gives us lots of peace and quiet. Frank is very creative and our yard is being transformed! I’m still at OHSU and the commute is just a bit different and worth the extra few minutes. As we approach these milestones in our life, we reflect back over the years and our wonderful memories. We belonged to a 4 wheel drive club for 20 years and enjoyed camping, mud racing, sand dunes – Frank liked to drag race jeeps. In 1988 we bought a cabin on the Lewis River and made lots of new friends. Our weekends were spent boating, hiking and riding quads on the forest roads. We rarely go there any more since we are having so much fun at our new home. Interspersed with this were many wonderful trips. When our yard is in its maintenance stage (yes, Frank, we need to get there!), we hope to resume some travel. Frank and I enjoy working on the class reunions and making contact with our classmates in hopes of having a great reunion with lots of participation. |
